Excellent article, as always, Andrew Gutman. It is tragic that the Progressives have hijacked the Democratic Party. They actually should be called the Regressives. The fact is that the Democratic Party has significant Marxist tendencies, and George Soros is pouring mega millions in the help America confirm Khrushchev’s v prediction: that America would destroy itself from within. The Democrats have done this in a very methodical way. They have taken prayer out of school, and they promote hating America calling it racist, divisive, etc. They are destroying the structure of the family, corrupting the kids with drugs and misinformation about the history of the school (1619 Project). They criticize the notion of achievement in the name of equity, and they hate American exceptionalism. Higher education has been dumbed down, and public education is at its lowest point in decades. Climate change and their alarmists has overtaken all rational thought about the environment. I need not go on. But, being an optimist, I firmly believe that Americans have had enough of the negativity and destruction of the Left. Therefore, vote the bums out on November 8, and take back our amazing country.

Great piece. Non-woke / non-Progressives (let alone Republicans) have a huge hill to climb, though, given basically complete 'elite' capture by the woke, especially education, where this all starts and feeds anew with every university graduation.

We went from JFK’s “Ask not what your country can do for you...” in 1960 to give me everything/the government should take care of everything, and nothing is my fault, but it certainly is {fill-in-the-blank}’s fault in 2022.

Sadly, our educational system has NOT lived up to the standard of American exceptionalism. We treat our schools as a governmental body rather than the frontline education of our children. In a country that was built on innovation, there is no true innovation in one of our most important ventures - the education of our children. My next book is focused on this failure and a pathway to change the trajectory of this failing system.

Your observations are spot on, but at least one conclusion is missing some nuance. Calling for more diversity in the Republican party is exactly what came out of the post-2012 presidential debrief. Yet nobody seemed to remember that the actual candidate was so weak that he couldn't win one of the swing states during the most tepid of economic recoveries and against a wildly unpopular Obamacare tax and spend mandate. As Trump proved, if you actually have the guts to stake out a claim, people will follow without the party changing its position. It is precisely the newer groups voting Republican who view the party as family-promoting and are the strongest opponents of abortion. Outside the fringes of those who see all abortions as requiring capital punishment, using looser abortion laws as a way to collect every disaffected voter will inevitably dilute the family message and become more like the Democrats. And as the likes of Mitt Romney showed, it's a losing strategy.

Another fine piece. What's the end game? To make sure there are no people left by the time the earth gets too hot for us? Beat Climate Change to the punch?

Democrats have made their position on American Families clear: "Your so-called "god" makes BIG mistakes. Like putting girls in boys bodies. Well, were much better and smarter than your god, and we can fix his mistakes by cutting off the genitalia of your pre-teen boys and cutting out the uterus and breasts of your pre-teen girls. And if you complain or say anything about it, we will have the FBI kick in your door guns drawn, put you on a terrorist watch list, and have CPS take your children away from you. We are your god now and your children are ours. Comply...or else!" This is the Democrat Party by Deed and by Word. So are you going to vote Democrat again? Really?

I would push the threshold indicating where the Democratis party became anti- family/working person back further than the last decade or two. I began working for the phone company in 1989 and was at a union meeting where the membership was always encouraged to vote Democrat and witnessed a senior technician pushback against the union position and state that the Democrats are the enemy of the worker for many years already, and he said that in 1989. Regarding the LGBQT , I owned and operated college kid rentals and also Central American rentals, years ago, and I dealt with everybody. I never had a problem with gay men in either category causing problems . They were always very polite. The other categories were almost always depressed, volatile, combative, in short a nightmare to deal with.

Republicans have always been the party of families. Only it's a tough hill to climb, to get the message out, when virtually all of media is against you.
